Pink Saturday in Quebec........historic and fun city

Wandering through the pretty streets of Quebec City you'll not lack for eye candy.......and along the way there's always a hint of PINK popping up.

Architecture, flowers............lovely places to wander and breath in the 'Frenchness' of the city.....and look at those authentic French outdoor cafe chairs!

Interesting restaurant and shop signs.

French grocery with delicious foods and pretty things.

Place Royale ~ we enjoyed a tasty pizza and salad lunch at the restaurant tucked in the corner. Behind the flower boxes and under a sunbrella we found respite from the blazing sun for an hour!

Paris kiosk?  No, Quebec City!

Hotel Chateau Frontenac.

Funicular down to Vieux-Port de Quebec (the original old town and port on the St-Lawrence River).

Shopping in Vieux Quebec.

Best wishes for your PINK SATURDAY and weekend.
Hey, join in and beat the heat - stay in your a/c cooled space and and visit Beverly at How Sweet The Sound for lots more pink!

  1. Well there you are, Out of Africa and into Quebec!
I thought I'd become a follower, so was waiting patiently for your return and the interesting posts I knew would be coming. Imagine my surprise to realize that you'd been back for ages and I'd missed it all. Of course I've had the nicest time reading all about the African Adventure this evening. Will you stay in La Belle Province or will you venture further?

  2. Good morning Mary. I have never been in Quebec but I have been in Canada many times near the borders. My foremost memory is the beautiful flowers. Every thing is lovely in the summer. Canadians do love their flowers. Your post is lovely. We are going to Canada for a long vacation with our RV one year.

We are leaving for our family camping week in a few hours. Packing like crazy right now. Carrying things to the RV and putting things in drawers and closets as well as the cupboards and fridge. A very convenient way to camp. Smile.

Have a wonderful week my dear fiend. I have missed you.
    Love, Jeanne

  8. I hope someday to visit Quebec. My great-grandfather Henri Prefontaine was born there! For now, I'll just have to enjoy your wonderful photos. The city looks so European and charming. I'll have to add it to my bucket list!

  13. ... how long ago was 1964... the year of the world's fair in new york? oh my could it really be 46 years ago?...because that is the summer that i went to both the fair and quebec city...and even as a 16 year old...i knew then that the world's fair was nothing compared to quebec...only paris in 1968 could surpass the city in canada...

  22. When I was in my teens, my family and I traveled all over Canada, but we never made it as far as Quebec! Quebec City sure looks like a beautiful place. My daughter has visited France, and can't wait to get back, but I think she needs to give Quebec a try in the meantime!
    Happy Pink Saturday!
