No place like home . . . . . . . . . . . .

We arrived back in the USA late Friday following a frustrating journey due
to our direct flight home being canceled when we arrived at Heathrow early morning!
I was already feeling very sick!  A horrid cold and cough probably contracted from
the ship where many seemed to suffer from the same bug the last few days aboard.

Anyway dear friends, I'm back, slept most of yesterday, but feeling under the weather
so will not be posting for a couple of days at least.

Strolling the canals on our last evening in Amsterdam - will have more to share of
this busy city and its millions of bicycles later, plus all the beautiful cities and towns
we visited along the way.

  3. I am pleased that you are back safe and sound. Yes, we both share the delights of going away, but after travelling is finished 'there is no place like home' and especially your own bed.
Rest awhile, travel can take its toll and I find it does so much more than when I was younger.

  4. It's so unfair to come home from a holiday with a bug! I hope you recover quickly and are able to then savour the memories of your trip. The photos of Amsterdam are beautiful - gorgeous effect!

  5. Do get better soon. Colds are such a nuisance. The Amsterdam shots are incredible. It truly is a unique place.

  15. Dear Mary
I know that feeling at the end of your trip - you can't wait to get home.
I'm hoping you're feeling a little better each day.
I always seem to pick up one lurgy or another on the plane coming home.
Take care and take some good Vitamin C and UMF Manuka honey if you can get it where you are - those are my two wonder drugs!
It's good to have you home!
    Much love
    Shane

  16. I'm reading backwards, trying to catch up on a few posts and already read your post about the windmills, so I hope that means you're feeling a little better. Coming home ill is never fun. I hope you are able to do nothing for a few days except to get better.
