Winter scenes from the porch. . . . . . . . . .

So, no words necessary. Hope you just enjoy the photos of my own
garden these past few days taken at different times from early morning
until dusk.  A snowfall of seven inches arrived on Wednesday - not
usual here in southeast North Carolina.
It was beautiful.

  1. Gorgeous photos! I used to live in Clayton and only saw snow a few times there.

    1. What a surprise - when were you there Pam? If it was some years ago you wouldn't recognize it now - growing rapidly like all of this area! How long have you lived in Japan?

  2. More picture-perfect photos! Poor little birds and other animals, they have probably never experienced anything like it in thier short lives.

    1. Oh Meike they are such amazing tiny creatures - seem fine during the day no matter how much snow, just wonder how they managed through these recent freezing cold nights.

    1. That's unusual Penny - but then what isn't these days! We've almost melted now and have lovely sunshine - heading out for a bit this afternoon, getting cabin fever!

  4. Quite a snow you had. Seems the birds don't mind it. I like just one of those snows per year.

    1. This is our second in Jan., first was much lighter, perhaps an inch, this one was heavy wet snow which stuck so well and made everything look like frosted cake!

  11. It reminds me of the beautiful snow here but we don’t have pretty cardinals. So glad you got to enjoy a bit of Colorado there as it were but probably not as dry and fluffy!
