Leaving for Hawaii today, so wish you two were coming to meet up with Carole and Graham and do a good sightsee of all the islands - no snow there except on top of Mauna Koa. Love, P
I love your photos Mary! Like Penny said they make a cold winter seem warmer! I love the lantern in the first photo with the dragonfly on it!! Spring will be here before we know it!
Your garden looks pretty with it's snowy cloak. We'll be so glad to see milder weather and I will definitely enjoy hearing the red winged blackbirds singing when they return in April. Such a long wait though. Sigh.
Hooray that Spring is on it's way. I do, however, love seeing a Winter garden. Each season has it's special touches of JOY. Thanks for sharing yours. xoxo m
A winter's garden...I long to see one. Love your photos Mary and the words to accompany them. Here is old favourite for your first sighting of Daffodils...
I wandered lonely as a Cloud That floats on the high o'er Vales and Hills, When all at once I saw a crowd A host of dancing Daffodils; Along the Lake, beneath the trees, Ten thousand dancing in the breeze.
The waves beside them danced, but they Outdid the sparkling waves in glee:- A Poet could not be gay In such a laughing company: I gazed--and gazed--but little thought What wealth the shew to me had brought:
For oft when on my couch I lie In vacant or in pensive mood. They flash upon that inward eye Which is the bliss of solitude, And then my heart with pleasure fills. And dances with the Daffodils.
Your pictures make even this cold winter seem warmer.
