Northern update..........visiting Canada

Temperatures in New Hampshire continued to climb............very hot on the 4th but fortunately the parade in the small village of New Boston was shorter this year, just under an hour, thank goodness!  Great time and I even managed to get some non-parade pics as I walked along the village streets, such as....................

....Queen Anne's Lace ~ red Bee Balm in the background ~ this was a charming garden surrounding a house built in 1886.

Leaving New England and heading north to Canada brought little cooling as the heatwave continued in the east.  Driving through the White Mountains of NH and on into the Green Mountains of Vermont, we were blasted by hot air on arrival Montreal.

Beautiful Canada........

The huge International Jazz Festival of Montreal was in full swing.......music venues all around the city.

View of Montreal from hotel room.

Just one day there.  Enjoyed the ambiance of the lovely city and getting back into 'French mode' which is easy with everything signed in French and the language lilting through the heavy Summer air.

Next day we drove on to Quebec City, such a great place. I took plenty of photos, shopping in old Quebec, chateaux, French signs, and of course boulangeries.......camera clicked constantly and I'll share with you next time.

Today I'm back in New Hampshire and able to upload photos again from this hotel.  This evening I'll be flying back to North Carolina......it's been a great trip as always.  Many thanks from Bob for all the kind birthday wishes.
