JANUARY ~ named from the Roman god Janus who is
represented with two faces looking in opposite
directions, as retrospective to the past,
and prospective to the coming year.
January 1 ~ New Year's Day
January 6 ~ Twelfth Day ~ Epiphany
The wintry hedge was black
The green grass was not seen
The birds did rest
on the bare thorn's breast
Whose roots, beside the pathway track
Had bound their folds o'er many a crack
Which the frost had made between
~ Percy Bysshe Shelley ~
I've made no resolutions.......but I do have plans for
this new year, once January is over and I'm home again.
Beautiful mosaic, Mary. Sounds like 2013 is another exciting travel year.
ReplyDeleteHave a fantastic trip.........Happy New Year! Love, Sarah

Happy New Year Mary. Sounds like you had a good stay in the UK. Pity your hubby caught that horrible cold that was doing the rounds. Your New Year's Eve sounds more my kind of thing. Ours was fun with good food but too noisy for this old gal :-)
ReplyDeleteYour trip sounds so exciting - holy cow, a once in a lifetime trip. I can't wait to see your pictures. I'm adding you to my blogroll so I don't miss a thing, can't think why I didn't do it earlier and so glad you keep popping by for a chat. I hope, and know, you will have a wonderful time. You have a fantastic zest for life we can all learn from.
S happy to have met you in 2012 and looking forward to following your adventures in 2013.
All the very best to you. Safe trip!

A gorgeous mosaic Mary. I love the soothing colours of your home's decor.
ReplyDeleteHi Mary, it was so good to see your comment. I am trying to get some pics about our cruise posted but I have been so busy. We did have a wonderful time. I haven't had thoughts about New Years resolutions either. I'm sure I will plan a few changes for 2013. Smile.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes to you and yours for a happy and healthy New Year. Travel home safely.
Blessings and love,
Jeanne
Happy New Year to you too dear Mary!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting for you planning your next great adventure.
I no longer make NY's resolutions either - must be an age thing!
Such a beautiful collage - I love angels, anything french and pretty mirrors too!
Heres to a year of dreams being fulfilled and lots of fun!
love
Shane
No resolutions here anymore. That is why I choose one word to focus on. It is much easier.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year and look forward to hearing your plans after your next travel adventure.
