discovered some big news. British author,
Julia Donaldson, published a book last month titled
The Further Adventures of The Owl and the Pussy-cat.

I loved that nonsense rhyme too - and I love how your first photo illustrates your post. Owls seem to be everywhere lately, and one swooped in front of the car this evening as I stopped to open the gate.

ReplyDeleteWonderful for sure. I love it when kids read. On the way to our middle grandson's school open house the other night I asked him what he had done at school that day. He said he had finished all the assigned work in the morning block of time and in the afternoon he had the "pleasure of reading for a whole hour". He is in third grade - what a charmer, and he adores reading.

Nonsense poems are so much fun. And they teach rhyme and rhythm - but don't tell the little ones that!
