Dear Mary, What a fabulous post. Your flower photos are sensational. Isn't it interesting how Europe has changed the way they plant their gardens. They are definitely less formal and much more interesting.
Oh my goodness, Mary, what gorgeous photos. The poppies are so beautiful and would be my favorite, too. I'm sure you spent hours there. The pastries.....oh my word!
Oh how I love gardens and markets. Those yellow poppies I just noticed recently for the first time. I think they are called Welsh Poppies. I have looked for seeds, but can only find them one place and they need to be planted in the fall. I must order them soon. I just love them in with other things in the garden. Beautiful!
Stunning images & collages, Mary. The architecture is so impressive and the flower borders complement the buildings beautifully. Thanks for taking me back to Deutschland with you today .
What a gorgeous mailbox for your postcards...wish I was there again (39 years, now) to put one in! That last cake slice looks so familiar - wonderful reminders of times past. Danke schon, Mary!
A BREATH OF FRESH AIR is a fresh version of my former three year blog ACROSS THE POND which can still be accessed by clicking on the title above. I'm a transplanted Brit enjoying life in North Carolina.
Sixty two years of journeying back and forth across the wide Atlantic Ocean have kept me busy…….and made my life very interesting! Although I've now visited all seven continents, I continue to travel and look forward to sharing new places around the world. I love taking photos! All images are my own unless noted otherwise. Please do not use my photos without a request. I enjoy sharing and will usually say OK!
A definite feast for the eyes and your photos are just stunning!
ReplyDeleteOh my - such an assortment of flowers - and lovely buildings - it is just glorious.
