Wurzburg - palace gardens and markets. . . . . . . . .












You know how much I loved visiting the gardens of the palace - mixed 
borders such as these were an inspiration, and poppies were my favorite flower here.

    Dear Mary, What a fabulous post. Your flower photos are sensational. Isn't it interesting how Europe has changed the way they plant their gardens. They are definitely less formal and much more interesting.

    Oh my goodness, Mary, what gorgeous photos. The poppies are so beautiful and would be my favorite, too. I'm sure you spent hours there. The pastries.....oh my word!

    Oh how I love gardens and markets. Those yellow poppies I just noticed recently for the first time. I think they are called Welsh Poppies. I have looked for seeds, but can only find them one place and they need to be planted in the fall. I must order them soon. I just love them in with other things in the garden. Beautiful!
