The tail wind was in our favor, landing in Atlanta from Denver earlier than scheduled, and we were upgraded to more comfortable seats. Other than being freezing cold, the flight was good. Same with the flight on to Raleigh-Durham, upgraded seat, so chilly.
DELTA, please work your air conditioning!
Busy day and very hot here. Unpacked, lots of laundry, just catching up on necessary things. No cooking planned. Evening walk once it drops below 90F to someplace with a fresh salad and a chilled glass of rosé will be great.
But, until I have time to elaborate on the wonderful time we had with friends in Utah and Colorado, here is a tiny peek of something very special I brought home. . . . . . . adding a touch of blue and gold to my table. Some of you will know immediately whom I went to visit!

ReplyDeleteCouldn't the flight attendants do something about the freezing cold aboard the plane? Their job is to provide passengers with all reasonable comfort, isn't it.

Your Mark Twain quote reminds me of the not one, but THREE biographies about him I had as birthday presents - they are still on my TBR pile...
No, they won't change the system and, as far as helping passengers, these days on American carriers they seem to do as little as possible unless you're in Business/First!!!! For us, the Asian carriers are the only excellent airlines flying now - they are who we will look for any international flights. Of course these days I'm always grateful just to be on a flight where people remain sane - some crazy things happen - are fully clothed, and don't pick fights with the attendants or other passengers!!!! Then of course getting to the destination safely is the ultimate happy moment even when I've been squished in those ridiculous tight seats!

ReplyDeleteSorry you had an uncomfortable flight. I haven't flown in over eight years. Honestly have no desire to and so far haven't gone anywhere that requires a plane. I'm not the world traveler that you are, Mary, so I'll live vicariously through you. :) Hugs.
