H&M 2018
Time to starting thinking about Autumn clothes - my favorite wardrobe season.
Have you thought about knitting lately?
I discovered this yarn at Hobby Lobby last week and have started knitting
ready for cooler weather. . . . . just a simple cowl scarf, easy going with no
pattern to follow, whilst watching movies in the evenings.
Last night we watched Les Miserables. Loved it again and shed a few
tears yet again - thanks to wonderful Hugh Jackman and Eddie Redmayne!
I like how this easy to use yarn knits up into a tweed effect, but feels soft
and smooth. Using size 8 needles and moss stitch.
This color is 722/Marled Mocha, a dark chocolate.
It's made in Turkey, acrylic and washable, and although marked $4.99,
I used the Hobby Lobby 40% off coupon and that made it a real bargain.

That looks just like you. Most recently, I was tempted by a “ruffler,” but now recognize that it is for young people not oldens like me. 😏

ReplyDeleteI love the color and the wooden needles! Now I feel like fall is coming, as I sit here with my shawl around my shoulders!
ReplyDeleteThese are bamboo needles, so lightweight and smooth - I love them and find I never use my old metal versions now (guess they'll be classified as 'antiques' some day!).

I'm looking forward to sweater season. It's a bit chilly here this morning. My knitting skills are minimal, at best, and I'm in great admiration of anyone who knits. DeleteThe knitting bug usually hits me this time of the year too -I've found a pretty cabled knit shawl I'm wanting to make - in Merino wool, haven't chosen a color yet for sure, but I'm thinking of a deep forest green. Your yarn makes a beautiful pattern. Happy Autumn - we are getting our cooler temperatures and some rain - and a gigantic thunder storm last night - we turned off all the lights and sat in the dark - ohhing and aahing at each huge flash of lightening that lit up the house like daylight.
