I've been totally overwhelmed for the past week........so many things have needed
attention, time on the laptop has been really limited. I will continue with the
travel posts, and hopefully other things, soon.
Bought a new set of canisters from COSTCO, they are great - literally!
Flour, Sugar, Tea - plenty of each at hand.
Lovely Anthropologie Birthday gifts from Granddaughter Jasmin - that candle
smells divine!
Lovely candle gift and canisters too. I think I need to check out things at Costco soon.
ReplyDeleteOnly $19.99 for canister set Marilyn. I love them because they're bigger - can hold a 5lb bag of flour (my former ones which cracked were smaller). Great seal on the lids and good handles. The mug, berry basket and candle are all from Anthropologie.
DeleteOver here, Mon Chéri is a brand of sweets - my Mum's favourite! They are chocolates filled with cherry liqueur and a real Piemontese cherry.
ReplyDeleteOhhh...I have needed new canisters for a very long time. No Costco, but a Sam’s Club...I wonder. Hope that things settle down to a dull roar for you. That overwhelmed feeling is unpleasant.
ReplyDeleteDear Mary, "Happy Birthday to youuuuuuuuu."
ReplyDeleteYou are lucky you can't hear me sing. :-b
I have some catching up to do and will enjoy your previous posts.
I hope you had a perfect day celebrating whatever way you pleased. Hope it's a great year ahead, Mary. xo
Love your new canisters. I'd love a sniff of that candle. It looks yummy!
ReplyDeleteI understand the crazy-busy; it's been like that around here and next week is even worse. Ah well, what can you do. I don't keep canisters on my kitchen counter but I like yours...and your granddaughter has wonderful taste in gifts!
ReplyDeleteBelated birthday greetings, Mary. Lovely gifts you received. Hope things calm down for you soon.
ReplyDeleteI love this vignette! It looks beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYour canisters are very pretty. I like to shop at Costco. Mostly for gas. Just for me alone, buying food in quantity is no longer feasible. But at Christmas time I do buy their Belgian chocolates …
ReplyDeleteLove the classic old-fashioned look of your new canisters. Really good ones make such a difference. Mine are clear and I wish they weren't. They are also small. Bigger would be better. Crazy-busy is defining my life lately, too. Let's make a pact to breathe and enjoy the moments.
ReplyDeleteThey look great Mary!
ReplyDeleteLove the canisters!
ReplyDeleteYour new canisters make a lovely creamy backdrop for all that beautiful design in front of them . . . beehive patterned mug and berry box, and that gorgeous candle. The embossed design on the glass is so pretty; I'm glad to know the scent is as lovey as the container.
