Sal, I've tried to have an English garden but found many plants aren't happy in the Summer heat/humidity here. Azaleas though are at home and do so well so I've embraced them.
Thank you for the gift of flowers. Not much in my garden yet apart from a few tardy daffodils and some pansies that have survived the winter, but not without taking a battering. Have a good Sunday!
Your garden is a thing of beauty and a joy forever. I noticed this week that our native bluebells are now in flower, so I must hasten to the woods very soon.
Yes the azalea blooms just don't last long enough do they Mariette - already fading and dropping, sigh! I must do serious pruning on some this year - they are gigantic, like 8-10 feet tall!
Ali, they really don't have perfume but smell clean and fresh - they are awesome for about 2 weeks when flowering, then stay a lovely green year round as they're evergreen thankfully!
A BREATH OF FRESH AIR is a fresh version of my former three year blog ACROSS THE POND which can still be accessed by clicking on the title above. I'm a transplanted Brit enjoying life in North Carolina.
Sixty two years of journeying back and forth across the wide Atlantic Ocean have kept me busy…….and made my life very interesting! Although I've now visited all seven continents, I continue to travel and look forward to sharing new places around the world. I love taking photos! All images are my own unless noted otherwise. Please do not use my photos without a request. I enjoy sharing and will usually say OK!
What a lovely garden!
