It has been a very busy week here.
Spring Break was not quite a break for me, however I loved having granddaughter Jasmin with me. She slept over one night, we went to her first voice lesson, and then on an all day shopping spree around town yesterday. Phew, shopping those teenage shops such as Forever 21, H&M, American Eagle, Aerie, and a couple of department stores kept me hopping - just lucky I wasn't limping after so many hours at the mall. Definitely my exercise for the day, and then some! I just crashed once home again and was happy to kick off my shoes and get into my comfy clothes.
Here it is late Friday, I haven't had time to even think of a subject to post for A Favorite Thing Saturday this weekend. However, I do love decorating, and my accessories very often depict flowers in one form or another..........so here are a few of my favorites scattered about the cottage. I know you may have seen some of these pics before, be patient with me please, I promise to take some new ones soon.
Linking to Claudia's blog Mockingbirdhill Cottage for A Favorite Thing Saturday - hope you will stop by to read some fun posts and perhaps meet some new blog friends.
Have a wonderful Spring weekend wherever you may be.
You certainly do have some pretty flowers here and there! What a wonderful reminder that spring and summer are on the way!
ReplyDeleteI remember the days of shopping with my girls at these very same places. Just when you thought they were finished, it was another stop! Thank goodness for the coffee shops in the malls these days, where we can take a break and tell them to go off on their own!
Happy Weekend, Mary!
XO,
Jane
Lovely images, Mary - no matter you love them. Flowers mean a lot to me too - on fabric, in art, on china....I love it all.
ReplyDeleteI love the colors and textures in your photos, Mary! Even if you posted them before, they're always worth a second look! Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteVery tasteful! Visiting from MHC.
ReplyDeleteLove your decorating style:) You can post pictures anytime and please me.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your visit and sweet comments. Your visit allowed me to find your wonderful blog. I'm now a follower. I love the photos. They are all beautiful. Love the vignette with the book pages folded. What a great look. I share your love of hydrangeas, and yours above look so pretty. Love those roses too. I'll be busy checking out older posts. Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteExhausting, yes; but so wonderful to have time shared with a special grand daughter. Flowers in the cottage. I have been thinking more about that lately. I just love having flowers surrounding me. Right now they are outside, but some soon must come inside. That transferware plate is gorgeous and I always love, love, love your decorating style.
ReplyDeleteYour images are beautiful, Mary. Lovely flower accents throughout. I don't mind looking at them again. Love the way you've styled the book photo. I hope you have a wonderful weekend and find time to put your feet up.
ReplyDeleteLove that transferware plate!

All of the ways you decorate with flowers are lovely Mary. I love seeing your home through your eyes.
ReplyDeleteI love your style, Mary. And we both love flowers in our decorating. Oh, the very idea of a trip to the mall exhausts me, let alone actually doing it! Glad you had a lovely time with Jasmin.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for joining in this week.

Shopping is one of my least favorite things to do -- unless it's antiquing or thrifting. Now that's another story! :) Everything around your home is lovely! Wishing you a great new week. Tammy

Your cottage is so lovely, Mary, and I love seeing how you use flowers to decorate. You have a wonderful touch for gathering pretty things together. (Oh my.... walking in Malls is exhausting! I hate doing it and limit myself to one brief trip a year if that!)
