'Composition Variations' is our personal photo challenge for June from hostess Donna at Cottage Days and Journeys.......
Navplion, Greece - November 2012
Had to throw a portrait shot in here and who better to share than my lovely granddaughter, Jasmin. Modern girl composed with some of my French antiques.
Two photos above taken at Carolina Beach, North Carolina - December 2012. In town sale, and sunrise from the hotel balcony...easy compositions thanks to color and Nature.
I'm sending these from Moscow today while I have Internet
in my Marriott hotel.
Linking to Donna's Personal Photo Challenge.....but not able to actually link yet so will have to do that part later!
Donna if you can link it for me somehow that will be great.

Great compositions, Mary! My favorite is the first one - what a great outlook on a beautiful scene. I hope your trip is going well.
ReplyDeleteWhat scrumptious framing in that first shot! Beautiful and so is your granddaughter.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos Mary. I really like the one in Greece. What a fabulous shot! Blessings, Pamela
ReplyDeleteAll nice photos, but the shot through the portal in Greece should be on a post card.
ReplyDeleteSpectacular photos of such variety! I can't even choose a favorite! Of course the close up of your granddaughter is beautiful. Enjoy your travels my friend! We're in NC this week and it has been glorious! Sweet hugs!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your photos especially the first one so nicely framed. And the aqua and red composition -- such a great color combination that delights my eyes. I think I used to read your blog when it was under the other title, quite a few years ago.
ReplyDeleteWonderful pictures, Mary! I hope you are having a marvelous trip!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
Your photos are always lovely! The idea was to apply composition variations to one subject area, but these are all excellent examples of different ways to frame up a shot and use classic compositional strategies. I especially like that first one with the round window, looking out to the mesmerizing scenery! And the simplicity of the third one, with its striking color and diagonal line is also quite compelling!
ReplyDeleteI appreciate all the effort you took to participate in the challenge, even though you are currently on foreign travel! Thank you!
Your granddaughter is Beautiful and so is the portal shot!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo's! Thanks for sharing. :)
