Started in 1880 and still unfinished.
Leaving beautiful Barcelona early tomorrow morning.
An amazing trip through France with this
exciting stop in Spain for a few days.

ReplyDeleteI find this cathedral so fascinating. Crazy that it's not completed yet but I guess some cathedrals were built over hundreds of years. I don't know if you know the blog "Jackie in Surrey" but she and her husband were just in Barcelona this past week too! And she shared photos of this cathedral on Facebook today! ReplyDeleteThe Gaudi architecture in Barcelona is on my list of things to see. Beautiful photos of architecture under the Spanish blue sky. By now you are home and I hope you are resting and recovering well from the jet lag.

ReplyDeleteI just caught up on your posts. Your pictures are exquisite. My brother and sister in law visited Spain last year and this has me very keen on my adding it to Bucket List along with Greece. I think I want to try something outside of the 'box' than France or Italy, not that those countries would be a bad experience at all, I just want to see a few sites I have not seen in so many pictures.

ReplyDeleteMy son has a book on Gaudi (it lives in one of his many boxes of books in our attic now) after reading it I always dreamed of visiting Spain one day and seeing his architectural works, especially the Basilica... one day!
