Breakfast in Dublin, Lunch in Belfast. . . . . . .

Yes, yogurt and a croissant in one country . . . . . . fish 'n
chips a few hours later overlooking the city market in another!

Connally Station, Dublin

Ireland's spanking clean, very comfortable  always on time
 trains. . . . . . . . .if only we had them back home!

Heading north to Belfast. . . . . . in lovely sunshine.

Crossing the border was no problem, didn't even require our
Passports - although I would have liked mine stamped for this,
my first time ever, in both Ireland and Northern Ireland.

Belfast, Northern Ireland

Lots more to share later.

  1. I wish we could manage to build a rapid rail system over here like they have all over Europe. It is such a sensible way to travel. It is heartbreaking to think of the miles of track there were ripped out and are now bicycle paths.
Ireland looks just as green as one hears - and I like the look of Belfast. Looking forward to more!

  7. That picture you've posted in Belfast is amazing. What is that in the center of the street? A shrine of some sort?

  8. Looking forward to seeing more through your lens. Glad to know you are buzzing along enjoying the visit. Yes, if only the US had an efficient rail system like Europe.
    More please!

  9. It's really amazing that in all your travels you;ve enver been to either part of Ireland before! How did Bob keep you away so long? Lol.

these "Every day" type photos are truly wonderful as mos tof us have no idea what the station looks like or how their trains are etc. Speaking of that, I am impressed-- on time and clean? Wow!

You snaps form the train windows are wonderful too. And yes, some stamps in your passport would have been good too, right? :)
