It was like a secret place, hidden in the trees.
A necklace of green draped across the golden plain.
A tiny river tributary ran through it. . . . . was responsible for it.
When our vehicle pulled up after a somewhat rough and bouncy ride from
the airstrip, all that was visible was a swinging rope-handled, well-worn
wooden bridge over the muddy water. . . . . . . and lurking hippos below!
Entering the main camp tented building, this stunning view greeted
us from the deck. I will remember this lovely unexpected landscape always.

Just gorgeous photos. Flame trees?
ReplyDeleteLove the way your camp was tucked into the trees so beautifully. The tree photos are magnificent! That last photo, the lion looks so huge next to the tree, but I think it is the perspective. All so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI find it so interesting how there can be just one tree out in the middle of those vast fields. Hope you're enjoying your time in SF!
ReplyDeleteIf you have enough space to grow more than one tree then you can use them in a number of ways. Of course you can always place a specimen tree at the very center of your yard or garden See post
