We are home too. A niece and her husband and 2 children were going to visit, but they heard we were having rain most of the weekend, so they cancelled. So far yesterday was sunny all day until about 6pm then the thunderstorms started. This morning sunny again. We just had a quick shower and the sun is back out. We have been planted all weekend. Roses, lavender, liriope and boxwood so far.
With the hustle and bustle of daily working life, I am happy with quiet times on the weekends, or just a quiet night in during the week. At the same time, I love being with friends and family, or dancing the night away at some venue or other - it all has to be balanced, and usually, I manage that balance quite well :-)
Hello Mary, I hope you and Bob have had a restful weekend and are enjoying a good day as planned! We're doing the quiet thing here this weekend too...though we may soon venture forth for a good lunch at a restaurant nearby.
The right weekend for a peaceful and reflective time Mary. Yesterday was a Bank holiday here in the UK .... weather has been beautiful but we are in for a few days of rain ... good for the garden ! I love your photographs. XXXX
A BREATH OF FRESH AIR is a fresh version of my former three year blog ACROSS THE POND which can still be accessed by clicking on the title above. I'm a transplanted Brit enjoying life in North Carolina.
Sixty one years of journeying back and forth across the wide Atlantic Ocean have kept me busy…….and made my life very interesting! Although I've now visited all seven continents, I continue to travel and look forward to sharing new places around the world. I love taking photos! All images are my own unless noted otherwise. Please do not use my photos without a request. I enjoy sharing and will usually say OK!
Hope you're enjoying the holiday weekend in peaceful tranquility, just looking at the house on the coast makes me relax.
ReplyDeleteStaying home maybe out for a short hike and a barbecue. Have a wonderful weekend of relaxation.

ReplyDeleteWe are home too, but then we don't travel the world like you and Bob. I know what you mean about enjoying being at home though. Have a great weekend.
