She weathered the storm and seemed quite happy on the now bare fig tree
awaiting her turn at the feeders.
As the thawing started she still sat patiently - such a sweet bird.
Managed to catch Mrs. and Mr. Cardinal. . . . . . and the little female finch
popped in for the shot too!
Sunny and bit warmer this morning - hoping for more melting and the roads
being safe so we can venture out.
I'm still having difficulty typing with the shoulder pain - you may just be getting
photos for a while, sorry.
With such gorgeous pictures, I am very content; however, I am sorry that your shoulder is still giving you troubles. Keep it nice and warm and the rest of you, too.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are lovely, so save your shoulder the pain! We are still snowed in here, but the sun is shining.
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures, as always - I don't know how you do it, whenever I try to take pictures of animals, they move the other way!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear about your shoulder pain, Mary. It's always nice to read your words, but your photos NEVER disappoint. When it snows I am always on the lookout for cardinals. They look so right in a snowy scene. We hung a feeder here at the new house the day before the storm and are waiting patiently until our feathered friends find it. Hope your pain subsides SOON.
ReplyDeleteHope you are staying warm. I just saw online that you had a storm. What beautiful cardinal couple. Snow and cardinals make for beauty in nature at Christmas time.
ReplyDeleteI think she is one of the most beautiful of birds. I'm sorry to hear about your shoulder, Mary. Do take care of yourself. Sending a hug, Deb
ReplyDeleteWhat a dear sweet lady Cardinal, and a pretty pose with her Mr Cardinal. You can't have too many cardinal in the snow pictures! :)
ReplyDeleteHow I love my birds and Mr. and Mrs. Cardinal are special favorites! I adore your photos! Hope your shoulder will improve. x
ReplyDeleteThey are so beautiful Mary! Thank you for sharing. We don't get to see Cardinals on this side of the country. I saw the news about the heavy snow in NC and wondered how you were doing. Looks like all is well.
ReplyDeleteDear Mary, I see some prize winning photographs. I especially like the three in the Fig tree.
ReplyDeleteYou are truly blessed to be able to see so many feathered friends there. An English woman's delight, without doubt. I always lvoe your photos of these little gem like birds. Beautiful.
