Another 'umbrella day' if you have to spend time outside.
I'm staying indoors and have decided to keep the outdoor decorations
up until it dries out and warms up!
The birds are hungry and many are coming to the front porch to
shelter. . . . . .especially when Bob scatters some seed for them!

It rains often in many places ~ these above I'm familiar with ~ Ireland,
my original home on the southwest coast England, and the North Carolina mountains.
Here in central North Carolina we are getting so many dreary days of rain,
rather unusual.
Another rainy day...but your pictures are just lovely Mary! That´s for sure!
ReplyDeleteBest wishes for a great week now - take care :)

Prolong periods of rain can be so depressing, the dampness seeps into the bones and it takes a long time to get warm.
ReplyDeleteWe had a period of misty rain late yesterday afternoon along is mild temps so we have a slushy mess on the streets in the subdivision. The only consolation, we do not have to shovel rain.
We have a wide array of birds at our feeder, saw the Carolina Wren, once a short while ago.
Stay dry.
It seemed we use to get a lot of rainy days in the area of NC I lived. I am glad I moved to the sunshine state! Stay dry.
ReplyDeleteWe seem to be in for a series of rainy days here, too, awfully welcome in this arid land. I'm so happy to have a relatively cozy house to be in, and I hope to cozy it up further by baking, once I tear myself away from this computer!
ReplyDeleteYour post is quite beautiful ...... rain, rain go away.
ReplyDeleteThat little wren is so sweet. We are in the midst of days of rain and it's very dreary. I sympathize with you.
ReplyDeleteThe wrens have been singing in my back yard and hopping about. I have even noticed a few birds searching through my birdhouses. Spring can't be too far off.
ReplyDeleteYour cottage will feel even more cosy when it is so wet and grey outside!
ReplyDeleteWe've been having a series of grey days, too; it has snowed and there is more forecast. I am glad that I can work from home and do not need to huddle under the always-too-small roof at the train station, and splash through puddles on my way to work.
I hope it dries up for you soon. It must be awful just watching it rain, rain, rain. We are getting what you get... just one day later.
ReplyDeleteIt is always depressing when the rain overstays its welcome. Hope that the sun shines soon!
ReplyDeleteDear Mary.
ReplyDeleteIf only we could receive some of your rain. After a while 'nothing but blue skies' is also boring especially since we need moisture for our parched land, I love your collage. It looks so peaceful and your little bird knows how to stay warm by puffing up his feathers.
Love your mosa
