Why is aging on my mind today?
Perhaps because it's my birthday!
Above, my birthday breakfast. Nothing really special,
except perhaps to me. Being English, toast and marmalade
has always been a favorite . . . . . so today I'll celebrate
the arrival of another wonderful year with something I enjoy!
No time to post much, things to do, places to go . . . . . . .
. . . . . . and later an awful lot of candles to blow out!
Happy Birthday π
ReplyDeleteSounds as if you have a fabulous day planned.
Thanks so much Vee. Nothing earth shattering - but grateful for much x
DeleteHappy Birthday. My grandma came from England as a child seven years old. She had her marmalade - of which I never acquired a taste for.
ReplyDeleteHello Robin, are you in NC?
DeleteMy favorite is Scottish marmalade - with coarse orange peel always!
Happy Birthday Mary! I hope you have a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteWish I could be walking the beach with you today!
DeleteBeautiful here though Penny - clean and fresh after some very heavy rain last evening. Perfect October birthday weatherππππ
A day to celebrate ... Happy Happy Birthday Ms. Mary. And many many more!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday, Mary. It sounds as though your special day is off to a good start. May the joy continue throughout the day. Enjoy that cake!

ReplyDeleteA very Happy Birthday wish to you, dear Mary, from another marmalade lover!
ReplyDeleteWhile I was walking this morning, I thought of you and wondered if it was your birthday today or in the next day or two. I hope you have had a most wonderful birthday, full of the things that you enjoy. Toast and marmalade is lovely! Happy Birthday, dear Mary!
ReplyDeleteHAppY BirThdAy, Mary! π₯³ I thought this would grab your attention! I hope you felt all the good feels! I know how you love marmalade and toast. Can you believe I just discovered Lingonberry jam? Now I have it on English muffins, pancakes, and thick slices of toasted bread. I was never a fan of jams or marmalade's until I had the warmed version in a restaurant this past summer.
ReplyDeleteAgain, Happy Birthday, dear friend!❤️
Jane

Dear Mary - Happy Birthday and have a wonderful day. I didn't have any toast and marmalade at breakfast, but you have now just encouraged me to have some with my mid-morning coffee - marmalade by J.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday dearest Mary. A perfect start, marmalade is No. 1 for me, too. Enjoy your celebrations, lots of candles and cake! xox
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday dear Mary. Wish you were here. Champagne is on ice.
ReplyDeleteDearest Mary,
ReplyDeleteHappy belated Birthday to you.
Oh, how I used to enjoy toast (whole wheat that is) with marmelade but due to the sugar content I haven't eaten that for some 14 years. Fond memories though!
Hugs,
Mariette
