There are definitely days when I feel it must be
better to be an animal or bird, even a reptile. . .
. . . not a member of the inhuman race.
Even as we deal with horrendous destruction by
Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, we take time to
pause on this always heartbreaking anniversary.
We have just watched the annual 9/11 Memorial Service
from Ground Zero in New York City, marking the
tragedy on this morning sixteen years ago.
We will never forget that day.
Mary I could not agree more. Somedays it is so depressing to see all that is going on in the world. Thank you for the beautiful photos of these majestic animals. Have a great day.
ReplyDeletePerfect post.
ReplyDeleteNo, We must never forget! Gorgeous photos!
ReplyDeleteTHAT is a truly lovely post, Mary. Bravo. I remember the year afterwards sitting next to a very elderly lady from NY on the plane once to Cali and her daughter died that day. She herself, the mother, was a holocaust survivor--even showed me her number on her arm. She remarked, shaking her head how the word was getting more and more dangerous and seeing the rise of the "thought police" (as she called them) in the media terrified her as much as the rise of anti-semitism.
ReplyDeleteWow, amazing blog layout! How long have you been blogging for?
