I don't want to bore you with another litany of facts about my garden birds, 
other than their names. However, I do want to share a few more photos
 taken this week on the very wet days. Many birds flocked to the front
 porch to shelter from the cold, often heavy rain. . . . . . and to enjoy some
 seeds and crumbs we scattered in dry spots away from the dripping wet
 feeders out in the garden.

      These and many others just kept coming in from the cold rain on two days this week. Sunny today thankfully and will be going for a walk - us not the birds!!!!

    I am glad they had the opportunity to get out of the rain at least for a bit - I always wonder about and feel sorry for birds and other animals out there when the weather is like that.

    So pretty...we have a lot of house finches here, too. I always loved seeing the red poking out from underneath their otherwise plain brown feathers. Hope you're having a good weekend. It's bitter cold here - was -11 this morning.
