A Different December -

Les Mois - Décembre
Eugène Samuel Grasset
1845-1917

Cold nights and mornings now.
The Winter Solstice is today and it will be Christmas in
a few days.  Where has the time gone?
This year has been impacted by Bob's ongoing health issues
and he's not out of the woods yet.

Northern Mockingbird

Very little holiday decorating done this year due to time constraints.
Trying to get some baking started now. It will be a rather quiet time
 at Christmas.
Bob returns for another chemo infusion on Boxing Day - Dec. 26
(usually my favorite day of the year!). As I said, it's definitely a very
 different Christmas this time around.

Sending best wishes to you and your families - have a joyful holiday.
I plan to come back here more frequently once Bob's treatment is
completed. I've really missed everyone's news.

Happy Christmas to all.

Mary

  1. Maria,
    I hope everything goes well.
I'm in a similar situation, with my husband fighting.
    Thankfully, he's doing better now,
and we're trying to get back to our normal lives,
which seems so wonderful after so many days in the hospital.
I hope you have a beautiful time, give and receive lots of love, and stay strong🧡🌲🎁

In Australia I don't think you would get any treatment that day! All the best and happy baking. Lovly to see your post. xxxx

  14. Though it was a different holiday season, I still hope you had a lovely, peaceful time with family and Bob was able to have the rest he needed to begin the healing process.

  15. Hello Mary & Bob, I'm stopping by this morning to let you know I'm thinking about you both and hoping that Bob's treatments are going well. With our recent snow I always think of the beautiful bird photos you have shared through the years. I hope you are still finding time to enjoy them. While I am here I think I'll revisit some of your posts from the past.
    Take good care of yourselves.

  17. Hello Mary Sending many healing thoughts to your Bob! I do understand because I’m also experiencing major health issues with my husband of 52 years. Getting through each day is a real challenge. Love helps us to show up and be present. Take care from Darlene from Calif🥰
