........but Mother Nature is always full of suprises!
While enjoying a Christmas concert yesterday afternoon, followed by Moravian sugar cake and hot coffee........................snow flakes fell past the windows of the pretty church. Before we stepped outside again, big flakes were sticking to the trees, many still holding on to their crunchy brown leaves, and the sidewalks were slick in the fading light of dusk.
We grabbed our wheels and hurried home slowly, amazed as always at the drivers who fly by us on the beltline even in dangerous weather conditions.........probably heading to the grocery store to stock up on milk and bread as though we were going to be 'snowed in' for a week!
This morning our little neighbor girl is already out making snow angels on our lawn. The quite unexpected 2" will melt quickly as the sun is shining and the temperature rising. Our outdoor decorating planned for today may be put on hold.........plenty to do inside though.
