No matter the season, beautiful birds are always in flight
around the world. I'm showcasing four of my favorites here.
I think they would make colorful note cards for bird loving friends on any occasion.
Female Cardinal - My Garden, Boxing Day - December 2010
Carolina Wren - My Garden - January 2014
Crested Barbet - Okavango Delta, Botswana, 2012
Lilac-Breasted Roller - Mala Mala, South Africa 2012

Just exquisite! The Crested Barbet is amazing...have never seen such a bird. Delightful to see birds that I'd not otherwise know about. Your photography is terrific!

ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to capture the bird with the seed in his mouth. Your photos are stunning, Mary. Notecards like these would "fly" off the shelves in a stationery store.

Missing you dear... your photos are amazing! The colors are so vivid, I can only imagine how pretty the little feather friends would look in person. Hope you are feeling better! Love ~ Vanessa

ReplyDeleteI'd buy them in a minute if I saw them for sale. If there's a bird on it, I'm all over it. :)
The colors and clarity of your birds is amazing. I felt like I could reach out and touch them.
Gorgeous Note Cards - I love all birds.
ReplyDeleteI especially love the two cards of birds in your garden - the markings on the little wren are so delicate - what a beauty.
The cardinal - wow what a photo - perfect timing! I just know you sit on your porch ALL DAY waiting for those bird snapping opportunities! Ha ha!

Just getting here from Vee's party. I love birds in the biggest way so yours are particularly pretty to me. My favorite is the one against the gorgeous blue of the sky. That's frame worthy, IMO. (Actually, they all are.)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images with birds! Greetings from Romania !
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love all of them! They are pretty each in their own way.
