les petits chats de France. . . . . . . .

This is just a little post for all my cat loving blog friends. . . . and you are
I too love cats but no longer have one of my own.
When traveling I always try to get pix of the local cats to share
with you - these are some of the delightful French kitties
I found in towns and villages. . . . . .

. . . . . and even on the streets of Paris!

Of course France is known for its food, fish being extremely popular despite the
huge amount of meat and poultry consumed.
So, with amazing markets everywhere it's quite predictable that French
cats are well fed with bounty from the Mediterranean Sea, the Atlantic Ocean and
the English Channel, all lapping the French shores!

Do you have a fish-loving cat?  Do you prepare gourmet fresh seafood meals
for your favorite feline - or open a can?

  1. What a great post! My cat is a fan of salmon, she can be very expensive in her eating hi hi...
Have a beautiful week, take care!

  2. I'm sure you knew you'd hear from me, Mary. lol First off, the first photo is fabulous. All things I love; cats in windows draped in lace. So beautiful.
I hope all those kitties were well fed although some do look needy such as the mom and kittens. A bit of a heart-breaker there. And old blue eyes in the delightful is he. I say 'he' as most orange cats are male. Really enjoyed seeing the french felines in your travels. Hugs, Deb

  3. These are sweet cat portraits, Mary. I'm not a big cat fan and have never owned one but I can appreciate the sweetness of their faces. :)

  4. We have a cat who does not like fish at all, turns her nose up at canned tuna, fresh fish, fresh chicken or pork. Very strange tastes for a cat.

  5. No cats here, Mary, just our sweet Sadie Mercedes. Love seeing the French cats. You shot some amazing images. They could easily be a feature calendar. Thanks for sharing.

  6. They are all so pretty and look to be well cared for despite living in the street. I imagine their lives are a bit better since so many people here are deathly afraid of cats and dogs and many are very abusive towards them. I have only one outside kitty that I consistently feed now. I think he keeps everyone else away despite the fact that he has his own disability of a very bad hip from an accident when he was little. He shuffles instead of walks with his back legs, but manages to get around. Poor guy! Jingles only eats Deli Cat hard food though she enjoys the occasional date or avodaco, too. And tuna juice though we don't buy it much anymore. Have a good rest of the week. Tammy

  7. Such pretty cats and cute kittens. I am allergic to cat dander, so no cats for me.

  8. Thoroughly enjoyed your lovely cat photos. Our two cats, brother and sister Alfalfa (Alfie) and Darla eat high-end dry cat food and prescription dental kibble. They love the former but the dental kibble, not so much. They do eat it when not using the pieces as hockey pucks! Oddly enough, neither cat likes any form of meat. Darla will take a nibble of cheese now and then, but limits herself to just one bite. I should be so disciplined!

  9. Bless their hearts, some of them look a little worse for wear .. You know I would be in trouble if I lived there lol ... Minette and Merlin would have all those brothers and sisters !

  10. What sweet captures of the chat in France. My chat Joey gets gourmet crunchies and good quality canned. He would so love fresh fish I just know he would.

  11. Cute cats! I'm not a cat lover but they are adorable! And they nailed the shots!

  12. Hello Mary, I AM a cat lover and these cats are all so beautiful! I have had cats all my life (I am 59), and I have never known one who did not like fish. Their favourites are tuna and salmon. Lovely photos, thank you so much for sharing, and warm greetings from Montreal, Canada. :)

I would enjoy reading your comment - thanks so much for stopping by.
