Bright and white changes...

While checking on the booth recently............deciding what to add for the holiday shoppers, I also found a little something to bring home.

Looking around at all the white and bright items both in our booth (above), and other dealers' spaces at SuzAnna's Antiques, I discovered this perfect table for the end of my couch!  Well known top brand, solid mahogany, now painted and distressed creamy white, I fell for the reeded sides with a door (nice storage space inside) and the unusual shaped top........a $45 bargain!

As always, a few changes going on around the cottage.  They involve many, many yards of creamy white fabric, and some great pillows made by Vanessa, my dear friend and business partner at the booth, and the talented Joy at Savvy City Farmer ~ do visit her, congratulate her on five years of blogging, and check out the great things she has for sale in her Etsy shop.

More coming up on the living room.............sometimes just a fresh coat of paint means, let's change this, get rid of that old thing, and why not put that over there while we're thinking about it................

.........DH just arrived home after a week working in northern England.....his eyes are still blurry from the long flight across the pond, but you'll most likely hear sighing in the background soon when he ventures into the living room.

  1. While I enjoyed my business week in the UK, I am pleased to he home with you. I promise to explore the house today in search of "new items". I suspect I will find the former things at Suzanna'a...right?

  2. Love the little table. I look forward to seeing what you did in the living room. I see little bowls in the first picture that I actually have tucked away in my cupboard. I must bring them out and use them. I have a larger bowl too that goes with it. My aunt gave them to me last year.

  4. Hello dear friend! I have been so busy with our new house that computers are a distant memory. My mother who is here visiting told me that you said you missed us so I had to come by for a visit. A little table that also gives storage space is always a welcome thing to a living room. The stocking was sweet in the photo but you left it there? It would have worked in your white room.

DH left England just before the artic blast we expect as of tonight. They predict snow. We have to wait and see as we plan to go to Germany for a Christmas market on Thursday if the weather is okay.

    Hugs from Holland ~

  5. I always smile when you call your mansion a "cottage" - I can't call mine that (I guess because it has an upstairs), and I bet it's half the size (and less than half the charm) of yours! You do locate the most exquisite things, though. I'm wishing you a spectacularly successful "Black Friday" of gift and other sales!

  7. I found a set of 8 creamy white plates at a thrift shop for $6.40. (Did they decide that the plates were worth 80 cents each? What a find! You don't need money to find classy items. I take my cue from you - you are always exhibit style, class and grace!
