Halloween 2015 . . . . . . . .

I'm hoping any 'trick or treaters' who stop by the cottage
this evening look as cute as these little darlings!
I have to admit I enjoy seeing their own
sweet faces rather than scary masks!!!

Halloween inspired window display at H&M
when I made a quick stop at the mall yesterday.

Have a fun evening in your neighborhood -
the candy bowl is overflowing here. . .can you
believe Bob bought all the sweet treats he enjoys!
 I don't see a single KIT-KAT bar for me.
Oh well, I really don't need to be
eating the leftovers anyway - BOO!

  1. Dear Mary, I have a few Kit Kat bars over at my house. I asked for anything chocolate but don't see much of that. Just as well, I can't resist chocolates.
Have fun tonight and please share a few photos with us.

  2. Sadly where I live, there are no small children trick or treating and I don't think I would open the door here after dark anyway. Another reason I miss living in a city.

  3. I hope your trick or treaters had a grand time - we don't get any at all here - too dark and there are cougars about that can scare you silly - for real - not just for Halloween. People don't walk their small dogs after a certain time at night - especially in the winter - otherwise they become cougar bait - and no one wants that - so the kiddos and dogs stay away. Our grandsons came up for dinner last night so they got their treats a day early. We had a quiet evening - just the two of us - our son made a quick flying trip out from WV and left this morning with a truck loaded with family heirloom furniture - we are redoing the dining room and I have had enough of the dark oak furniture - going to all white - and he was promised the furniture years ago - so he is zipping across the country in a u-haul with furniture, toys from when they were kids, outgrown toys from the other grandsons for Donnie and whatever else we could get rid of. Hes got as far as Billings, MT today - Kansas City is the plan for tomorrow - and then home to WV on Monday night. After his whirlwind visit and the girls and families here to see him it was nice to have a quiet evening.

  4. How "Sweet" Bob is, a good guy but shame on him...Kit Kats are somewhat healthy with that wafer in the middle, right?

Not many kids here today as it was raining cats and dogs. We needed it after 10 days of nothing though.

Hope all is well. You are doing a lot of yard and garden clean up, I'm sure. I hope you take your time...you have the weather that doesn't rush you like ours.

    Love to you both,

    Jane x

  5. We had loads of cute little ones last night. A couple even helped me set up the outside of the house earlier which was more special as this was their first trick or treat night so they weren't scared when they knocked at the door. Your comment on the kit kat made me smile. My son said to me to put all the chocolate at the bottom so that he can have the left overs!!

  6. Hope you had some sweet little ones come by your cottage. We didn't even turn our light on this year, as the neighborhood stays dark. We were the only light last year, so had very few. We did have two brave souls come anyway, but they live across the street and knew we would have full sized candy bars. I bought only 6 candy bars for just in case. What a very sweet picture from H&M.

  7. We had a very quiet Halloween here with only 5 children at the door. Needless to say we have some treats left over and they won't be around long either!! The children in your photo are so sweet looking. Happy November to you!
