Dear Mary, I love Rembrandt Tulips. Wish we had a Trader Joe's nearby. I have found Rembrandt bulbs at Costco in the Fall. In the meantime, the deer ate my tulips. Love the way you have arranged your tulips and love the black candles.
Gina dear, they are actually dark chocolate brown candles and I love them as they seem right for every season - although I admit I did buy them to match those brown reindeer in my Christmas decor!!! My first tulips to bloom in the garden are from Costco - they are mostly pink and double, pretty but very short stemmed. I don't recall actually choosing those bulbs so they are a surprise. Love how tulips continue to 'grow' once cut - and I don't really arrange, just plonk them in a container and let them do what they will, such fun flowers. Sorry about your darned deer - thankfully we don't have them, however something big has been munching on my bluebells, grrrr!!
Love these tulips and love Trader Joe's. Two or three TJ's in town, but it's a big town, and I'm hoping for one in my neighborhood soon to quickly pop into. š
Ohhhhhhh such fancy girls they are. What a delight to bring home fresh flowers - I adore tulips, I might need to run out and get some - mine won't bloom for a few weeks yet.
Thank goodness for Trader Joe's :) Our local store has the best flowers: lavender, delphiniums and, yes, parrot tulips!! Happy spring to you and Bob! xoxo
A BREATH OF FRESH AIR is a fresh version of my former three year blog ACROSS THE POND which can still be accessed by clicking on the title above. I'm a transplanted Brit enjoying life in North Carolina.
Sixty two years of journeying back and forth across the wide Atlantic Ocean have kept me busy…….and made my life very interesting! Although I've now visited all seven continents, I continue to travel and look forward to sharing new places around the world. I love taking photos! All images are my own unless noted otherwise. Please do not use my photos without a request. I enjoy sharing and will usually say OK!
My second favorite to daisies. Stunning.

Mary -
Yes, I totally agree! I must go find some fresh flowers soon. Love these tulips soooo much! Your photo is gorgeous too.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I need to head to TJ. MY tulips I bought at Publix before Easter finally gave up.
ReplyDeleteParrot tulips are so attractive - each year I intend to plant some and then completely forget - they make me think of Dutch still life paintings.
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty flowers!! Love them
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a good price for such magnificence! I love them!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous and showy tulips like those really attract the eye. There's nothing like a vase of flowers to liven up a room.
