Tenacity. . . . . . . . . .

~ Jordan Lake at dusk - January 2018 ~

We've had two days of soaking rain and leaden skies. The chilling wind
brought down the last of the clinging leaves, flinging them across the
sleeping lawn in a tenacious last-ditch effort to bring winter to its knees.

Today - the deepest 'Carolina Blue' sky ever? Maybe.
A beautiful backdrop to the bare trees.

  1. Between the howling wind, rain and snow our leaves have finally fallen as well. There is something beautiful about each season and after a long week of gray days the bright blue skies of winter are a sight to see.

  6. Link minds, Mary. Just today, I took a photo of the birds in the bare branches of a tree against the crystal blue sky.

  11. We had that rain, then yesterday morning woke up to sunshine and a light dusting of snow that fell over night. Today is a beautiful sunny day!
