    1. Sal, I've tried to have an English garden but found many plants aren't happy in the Summer heat/humidity here. Azaleas though are at home and do so well so I've embraced them.

  3. Thank you for the gift of flowers. Not much in my garden yet apart from a few tardy daffodils and some pansies that have survived the winter, but not without taking a battering. Have a good Sunday!

    1. It was a busy Sunday Meike - a new low wall being built and planting up pots of seeds - herbs mostly.

  9. Your garden is a thing of beauty and a joy forever. I noticed this week that our native bluebells are now in flower, so I must hasten to the woods very soon.

    1. Yes the azalea blooms just don't last long enough do they Mariette - already fading and dropping, sigh! I must do serious pruning on some this year - they are gigantic, like 8-10 feet tall!

  12. Wonderful Azaleas. Do any have perfume?

  13. Ali, they really don't have perfume but smell clean and fresh - they are awesome for about 2 weeks when flowering, then stay a lovely green year round as they're evergreen thankfully!
