My new love for the kitchen................vintage blue green Ball jars with fabulous zinc lids.
So far I have six, three tall, three short...........I'm thinking this is already a collection so perhaps I should stop right here!
I like how they look with white/cream china. Since everything was moved and packed away while the ceiling was being renovated, I decided it was time for a change. Out came the bright china and enough glassware to stock a bar....in a few favorite plates, jugs, and bowls........and of course my huge collection of mostly vegetarian cookbooks.
Oops...............a clear but pretty diamond patterned shortie got in that line-up too. With it's really crusty old lid it's a keeper.
Do you see her peeking through the glass.....just a glimpse of someone you'll meet soon!
One clear, five blue Ball jars from SuzAnna's Antiques, the other tall blue one from Sam's little shop next door. Vintage Village is expanding, come see us all soon.
I love Ball blue jars too. I have quite a few that were my Grandmothers. Looking forward to meeting you at Penny's in a few weeks. Have a wonderful weekend. Love & blessings from NC!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you - love the old Ball jars too!
ReplyDeleteLooks we'll be seeing more of a Chicken Little to me :o)
Good Morning Mary,
ReplyDeleteI have some of those pretty blue canning jars with the zinc lids too! What a pretty something peaking out there. Can't wait to see the rest of her/him.
Hugs,
Penny
What else will I find different when I return home this evening. I hope I can get out on time considering the extreme weather conditions here in New York City last night and today. Flooding, subway stoppages and airline delays galore.

I have a few of these displayed in my kitchen ... I never tire of looking at them, they bring a smile to my face.
ReplyDeleteI know you must be loving playing in your "new" home. At least it must seem like new with all of the changes and updates.
ReplyDeleteI love the look.
I use to have some Ball jars. My daughter comfiscated them...since her last name is Ball! I had a really large one...think that is her favorite.
ReplyDeleteOh what a great collection! Jars are a weakness of mine!! Enjoy your new collection!
