~ HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY ~
I discovered these cute red, white and blue star lights - battery operated - at Target last week, along with the paper plates and napkins.
Our flag is now flying at the front of the cottage. It will be a hot 4th of July and later
today we may well be soaked in summertime showers, possibly thunderstorms.
The celebration will go on though as the grill is ready to be heated, the food will
come outside on platters, plates, bowls, the cooler is stuffed with bottles chilling,
and the gazebo is decorated.
We wish all Americans a very Happy Independence Day.
Here at our house there will be extra wishes, with a cake, for my dear Bob who
celebrates another special (aren't they all) birthday tomorrow on July 5th.
He remembers his mom telling him those late evening July 4th fireworks
displays were really to welcome his arrival early the next day!
Happy Independence Day Mary, and I hope you enjoy the celebrations.
