Saint Valentine's Day 2021

The only bright spots in the winter garden lately.........a flag and the birds!
 Sending love from our house.

"I really wanted chocolate but it looks like he brought me sunflower seeds again"

"I guess it's the thought that counts. . . . . . and in all honesty I like these a lot"

"Doing the best I can for my loved one on a cold, wet Valentine's Day!"

  3. I've just filled up my bird feeders, Mary. Today we have seen Coal tits and long tailed tits as well as the more common birds.

  7. Dearest Mary,
Yes, our colorful feathered friends are getting way too many showers lately... Here the very same and dreary dark, not cold however.
    Lovely photos.
    Hugs,

  10. I'm a day late, but Happy Valentine's Day anyway!! Those pictures of the cardinals are just so beautiful! I always love watching them. The male always has an eye on the female protecting her!

  11. There seem to be so many colorful birds in your area. They provide a lot of entertainment, or so it seems. I hope you and B had a lovely Valentine's day.

  12. I found your blog by one of those roundabout lockdown rabbit holes... how wonderful to have birds like that in your garden. Sadly we just have crows which bully them all away - but then we have the sea nearby... I notice you live in Carolina - my friend lives in Greenville (South Carolina I think?); one day I will visit again.

  13. My heart goes pitter-patter just seeing those lovely cardinals. What a wonderful gift. Thank you so much.
It was a lovely day here at home. No ventures out as we have snow and ice right now, but it is melting. Hope your day was extra special.
