"The very pink of perfection"
....Oliver Goldsmith, Poet, Novelist 1730-1744Following a good cup of strong, black coffee, I grab a camera, slip into comfy footwear, and head out the door for a weekly visit to SuzAnna's Antiques. Just a 12 minute drive if I hit the green lights! I pull into the shop anxious to see what pink delights have arrived since my previous visit. Here are some of the pretties I found during the past couple of weeks.
Sharing some little dabs of pretty pink..............
muted, soft, subtle shades of pink are my favorite, and this candlestick is perfect.
This piece is a gorgeous chaise, just wish I had somewhere to put it ~ and the pink rosebud fabrics on the pillows are lovely.
Dusty pink heart ~ what tiny trailing flower would you plant here?
Some pinks in the lovely tapestry wall hanging.......but look at the delightful pair of swans, I'd really like to bring them to my home!
Always look up when shopping ~ the sweetest finds are sometimes close to the rafters. The old frames had a pinkish tinge ~ and the crystals, such pretty things dancing in the light.
Happy Pink Saturday!
ReplyDeleteGreat finds!

Oh wow, your friend's shop has a Hulda painting (the last picture). Looks like it's only $20 bucks, too. I want it :)) Also, the candelabra is gorgeous. Great shop. Happy Pinks, Mary~

I love pale pinks, too. Very beautiful, soothing... And somehow subtle enough to stay below the radar of husbands who worry their wives' decorating style might be too girly.

I am like you, I have to visit antique places for pinks or other things in color. I cannot afford to buy them. Your trip turned up some great finds.
ReplyDeleteYou always find the prettiest pinks. I would love to travel along with you for a day.
ReplyDeleteHello there!

If this little shop were only 12 minutes from my house I have a feeling we'd be bumping into each other all the time! I love every little piece you've showcased today. All very appealing and right up my alley!
ReplyDeleteSomeday...someday I will get to that shop! Beautiful photos, Mary! Thank you for sharing them with us.

You always find the most interesting things to photograph. I have a new camera and am ready to get some new shots. Have you started packing yet? I can't wait to hear about your adventures once you are back. Hope to be back on my feet by then.
ReplyDeleteHi Mary, I too have always loved the beautiful peace rose. My MIL grew them and they would get huge. She had a formal rose garden in a very plain back yard. Her roses were for picking.
ReplyDeleteThe transfer plate is pretty. and the pink pillows were too. The metal pink heart is sweet as is the roses and candle holder. Your pinks are all pretty today. How about Beverly's Artful Blogger spread on Pink Saturday. It is just beautifully done. Beverly deserves this honor very much.
Happy Sunday Mary.
Love and hugs, Jeanne
The very PINK of perfection - what a perfect quote. Love the little candle holder and all your shabby treasures.
