The perfect porch gift..........

At long last I met up with Jane of Blondie's Journals when she and her husband were visiting Asheville, and it was a lot of fun. At the luncheon we exchanged gifts as is customary in blogland, and a first real life hug after several years of blogging hugs!
Jane gave me the perfect candleholder especially for the front porch.......it's so pretty and has beautiful trees etched on the side. I really love it and enjoyed hanging it out there today.

  1. I didn't realize it had that pretty etching on the bottle. It looks lovely hanging from your porch.

  4. Hello Mary, I have just spend at least an hour reading so many of your posts and enjoyed reading all about your travels. Your photographs are always so beautiful as you capture the people and the places. Afternoon tea was amazing! Those heights, felt dizzy at the thought! It feels like you really do take us along with you as we read each post.
Lovely sunny day here. Too hot to garden, sweetpea plants to plant, pots need planting with geraniums. Your garden looks lovely as always. Sad about the little birds in the nest, that happened here last year. The weeks and months seem to fly by so quickly, always so many jobs on my list, so need to catch up on blogs too. It was nice to find you had visited and I have been relaxing with a cup of tea and had a wonderful time reading through your posts.
Not sure where you are off to, but hope it is with Bob and you have a great time, does it start with V? Hope you are having a good weekend. Eileen xx

  8. That is indeed a very unusual candle holder. I'm imagining it makes a tinkling glass sound if the wind blows too. Just right for one's porch.
