Arrived in Russia today - first visit to the Kuril Island 
of Sakhalin. Tomorrow we board Zodiacs for a landing on 
the tiny Russian island of Tyuleniy (meaning seal).

  2. Good Morning Mary, How exciting to visit Japan. This is one place George, my husband would love to visit as he was (well still is) a black belt 2nd dan and would love to visit the Khoda Khan in Tokyo. We are hoping to do this in a few years time. So it is really lovely to be able to enjoy your photographs.

  3. We spent a lovely day in Aomori a couple of years ago. We got off the ship very early and wandered through town, watching all the before-opening activities of shopkeepers. We had the same wonderful Taiko welcome.
