On that lovely late fall afternoon last week, this is where
we went for a little outdoor tea time with a sunset view.
The North Carolina Museum of Art.
Named one of the top 25 museums in the country, it's a
great place to visit.
Just a ten minute drive from home, these lovely outdoor open
spaces are now seeing more people enjoying art without even
stepping inside the buildings.
There are timed tickets available to view exhibitions inside, with
COVID restrictions in place, but I felt safer just enjoying walking
through the outdoor areas prior to pouring a cup of tea and
watching the sun paint the sky.
We will be be doing this more often now the cooler weather
has arrived. Winter jackets, hats and boots. . . . . . . and perhaps
hot chocolate next time!
It looks like a lovely place to have a cup of tea!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely place to visit! I remember when I volunteered there once. It really is a beautiful place. Miss you! xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place to visit! We were going to see the show, Lightscape at the Chicago Botanic Gardens this year but it sold out right away.
ReplyDeleteA great place to wander outdoors and safely enjoy the art. Taking a bit of a picnic along is a great idea.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Sadly, all such places are closed here in my area, we are not even allowed to walk in the palace grounds, let alone have hot chocolate anywhere.
ReplyDeleteDear Mary,
ReplyDeleteYou have the right idea. Hot Chocolate, for a change, sounds delicious.
How lovely to just get out for a lovely walk and tea in hand. The grounds look like a lovely place to visit. We get so stuck on hiding away at home, sometimes we forget we can get out and about in a different way.
