Reality Shot Thursday.......

Somehow an office upstairs is just not enough working space for DH. Although he retired six years ago, he went right back to work because he enjoys it so much! I've moaned and groaned, begged and pleaded, get that mess off my kitchen table. Instead, it gained an iMac, my plate holder became a file holder, and the piles get higher when he returns from a business trip. This is real life in the raw.

  2. Hi Mary,
    Great shot, keeping it real!
I've not heard of this gathering before, off to grab my camera right now ready to tell it like it is!
    But do I dare?

  3. Oh boy. I love that your plate holder has suddenly become a filing system! And an iMac takes up quite a bit of space on the table...

Further reinforces my theory that given an extra amount of space, a mess will expand. Thanks for sharing, Mary! This one cracks me up.

  6. Love that you also used a sepia tone for your reality shot. And hey, he has the wonderful taste to use that lovely plate holder and have such a beautiful screen saver. I can relate to this... Ann

  7. Mary,
Oh my gosh! I am headed right out to buy another plate holder and plates to make a filing system for my desk. I'm sure it's an annoyance for you, but I'm stealing this idea. Have a great day! Chris

  8. That pile looks too familiar. My office piles up on the kitchen table all too frequently.

  9. Now a plate holder is not something I had thought of for papers. What a good idea. Those pesky papers just grow and grow.

  10. Love your real life. It is very clever to use the plate holder for a paper keeper. Real life.

  12. I love the plate holder used for a filing system. And aren't men famous for positioning the beautiful screen saver in FRONT of the mess so it just goes away??

  15. Oh boy! Well, think of it this way, at least he isn't going through the kitchen cabinets and re-arranging things!
