The pumpkin game..........................

You'd think I had nothing better to do yesterday than play outside with a camera and pumpkins!
Actually I was transferring them to the potting shed where it will remain cool whilst we are in Europe.
This one below is my baking pumpkin - already I can't wait to get back and cook this beauty!

Bob mowed the grass while I did a little weeding, clean up
and pruning - always like to leave things neat and tidy.
Neighbors keep an eye on things......and family members
stop by to watch TV and eat our snacks make sure
everything is secure!

  1. Such a delicious thing to come back home to. I tried to take some shots of the pumpkin fields that surround us here but they have carried out an early harvest. They have about a million in one field alone! Never mind, next year perhaps. Have a wonderful trip x

  2. Dear Mary, What lovely golden colors. Your collage is a little masterpiece. I'm so glad that you took the time to take a walk through your garden before you leave for Paris. Bon voyage. ox, Gina

  3. With the fabulous weather we are having it would be hard to stay inside. Although I know you must have a million things to do to prepare for your upcoming trip.
Your collage is absolutely gorgeous!! The variety in pumpkins now is amazing. I bought a "Cinderella" and a "Long Island Cheese" at the farmer's market and plan to cook them after enjoying them as decoration. I have never cooked a pumpkin before, but the farmer told me it can be done.
Have a wonderful time on your trip.

  6. Dearest Mary
You had a vision in mind when you carefully selected your pumpkins - I love these as orange doesn't fit into my scheme of things here!
    An inspiring Autumn collage.
If my kids called to check things out when we're away - first stop would be the fridge and pantry!!!!
I'll miss you and can't wait to hear your thoughts on what you see and do in Europe!
    love and hugs

  8. Beautiful pumpkin poses. I wondered how you would keep them for after your return from Europe. Now you'll have something to look forward to - cutting up a pumpkin and cooking it! Just wait until the jet lag is over, though.
Your previous post's photo of the bee on the sedum is stunning!
