Ord River, Wyndham......

The 'Yellow Water Area' boat cruise was beautiful and
refreshing, wildlife surrounded us........
dramatic wetland scenery after the dry bush and
red rocks of the Kimberley, Western Australia.

The small town of Wyndham is the oldest and northernmost
town in the Kimberley region......established
in 1886 as the result of a gold rush.

Friends and friendship.......distance makes
no difference. Knowing you are there and care
has been of great solace to me these last few days.

Like the Egret (Ardea intermedia).......

.......and the Darter (Anhinga melanogaster)
I've been trying to find my balance again.

Happily I can say I'm doing much better.........

.........and starting to stretch my wings again.

Thank you each and everyone who has left a comment here,
or sent me an e-mail. I'll be posting more soon.

  1. Hello Mary:
We are so pleased that all appears to be well and that you are enjoying the new landscapes which must daily present themselves.

  2. Dearest Mary
I'm so happy to see you're posting gain - or did Bob do this one for you?!
My husband has done North Western Australia when he was young - before I knew him.
His memories are more of red dust and unbelievable heat, yet when he talks about it I think it still sounds romantic... Out of Africa type romantic...
So your images have a strong feeling of deja vu for me!

    Do take care
    with love and hugs
