Thanksgiving and American pie..............

 IS FOR AMERICAN PIE......

We are eating out this Thanksgiving. Someone else
will roast the turkey which I don't eat,
chop, cook, mash, serve up all those yummy,
healthy vegetables, and bake the delicious pies.

It's not quite the same as enjoying the Holiday at home,
but this year, traveling so often, I've not had time to prepare
much around the house in the way of entertaining.

Sending Thanksgiving blessings your way.
Have a wonderful Holiday wherever and however you celebrate...
...and be sure to eat some yummy American pie.

What's your favorite Thanksgiving pie?
Mine has to be Pecan, or perhaps Pumpkin, but hard to
beat a bursting at the crispy, crusty seams, juicy Apple pie......guess I love 'em all.

    1. Trying to keep up with two blogs became frustrating ... so I decided to concentrate on poetry, not that I consider myself a writer, but it does seem to keep my brain exercised.

Your Jasmine is beyond exquisite!!! Like a rare jewel.

  2. So funny.
I am sitting here with flour on my nose, waiting to take my freshly baked apple pie from the oven. The house smells delicious!

Wishing you a wonderful, meaningful Thanksgiving! And I'm thrilled you like the book!

  3. Mary, I spent my day baking pies ~ pumpkin, pecan, and apple. Wish you were close by to enjoy a piece of pie with me. Actually you'd get you own little mini pie. I took inspiration from Mary @ Home is Where the Boat Is and made mini pies. We are having 12 for dinner tomorrow evening, and I thought it would be easier to serve.
    Enjoy your day ............Happy Thanksgiving..........Sarah

  4. Hi Mary
..."a bursting at the crispy, crusty seams, juicy Apple pie" would be my choice!!!
Wishing you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving! I think it's a great tradition to celebrate the early pilgrims arrival.

  6. Happy Thanksgiving! My favorite pie is my mother's homemade lemon meringue - but she's gone now and I've not tasted one nearly as good as hers, so I stick with a pretty safe 'blueberry.' :-)
    Have a lovely day!

  7. Any pie is my favorite! For Thanksgiving, pumpkin with whipped cream. We are eating out too...I have not cooked a Thanksgiving dinner in years. It's usually just the two of us anyway. And no dishes or cleaning up to do afterward either. Happy Thanksgiving to you and Bob!

  8. Hope you had a good thanksgiving then! I do love it. Reminds me of English Christmases wtih having turkey, mash and stuffing, don't you think? Well, minus all the other English goodies at that time of year. But, as it is, I do so love American pie, as you put it. :) Love peach pie, apple, and in fact am enjoying some Marie Calendar's lemon meringue pie now. Never did get into pumpkin, mind you, but that doesn't stop me each year from trying--same with yams. LOL.
