Sharing beauty from last weekend...........early
blossom trees in the grocery store parking lot,
and the pink magnolia in my garden. They were bursting
their buds, displaying their delicate stamens, and holding
their lovely pale faces to the long awaited warm rays
of the sun.

Today though.........cold, cold rain later, literally
freezing overnight with the possibility of light snow.
Oh Mother Nature, how fickle you are in Spring.

ReplyDeleteSuch pretty white blossoms. I'm beginning to see pink and white blossoms everywhere. I wish I could take photos of them all.
They don't last for very long . . . and are just so beautiful!
So happy you shared with us :0)
Have a beautiful day, Mary . . .

Ohhh how lovely!!! I am yearning for a green blade of grass, anything but snow.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos - spring is creeping in slowly here - yesterday was 63 and sunny - today is 53 and cold rain. My pansies are planted and enjoying the rain.
ReplyDeleteHi Mary! Thanks for your comment at RL. It IS great to connect again. I love that you find beauty everywhere you go. (And that your camera is always at the ready!) Chris
ReplyDeleteWe had a couple of glorious days and are now back to rain, rain, and more rain in the forecast. That's life in Spring here...
ReplyDeleteThe blossoms are beautiful!
We did have snow this morning. About an inch but it has now stopped and melted. It I 39 degrees now and will get to 20 tonight. Then as the week wears on, it is suppose to get warmer. Your blossoms are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteHugs,

What a nice surprise to open your blog and find these lovely blossoms, Mary. I love your new profile photo, pretty lady. :)
ReplyDeleteMary, thank you for those lovely blossoms. The only blossoms I have seen around here are crocuses and now it is snowing!!! One of those fickle March snow events, but it is cold and unpleasant. The goldfinches are turning colors so spring is surely on the way. The snowy weather has brought them back in droves to the feeders today along with the house finches....and of course the grackles, red wings and starlings.

Sounds like you guys got the same weather we did here in Indiana. Saturday was a perfect yardwork day and then last night it snowed a little and the wind is icy. I'm overly ready for spring this year!
ReplyDeleteSpring certainly can be a heartbreaker. Hope that there will be no freeze and no snow in your corner. It was -6F here last night and didn't get above freezing today.
ReplyDeleteFickle is a great word to describe spring. Beautiful blossoms make us want to keep her around as long as possible.
ReplyDeleteFickle, yes indeed. Our Spring weekend has been followed up with wind and rain today.
ReplyDeleteBut the flowers still seem to shine, though some of the daffodils are faces down. I went
out and picked them. Oh I could almost smell those beautiful blossoms in your photos,
lovely, lovely, and lovely.

Thank you so much sweet Suzanne - you were so kind to include me.
DeleteI'm hardly up and coming blogger though - been doing it for seven long years, LOL!
I no longer like to accept awards dear - now I like to see those new blogging gals/guys who are more worthy!
Time is my enemy too - never enough of it sadly.
I do thank you though and truly appreciate your kind thought. I love that you stop by and comment, thank you.
Enjoy this always special day Suzanne.
Hugs - Mary
