. . . . . . . . often include sweet cuddly babies.
I have a new title - I'm a Great Grandma now!
Yes, our sweet granddaughter Cassie and husband Richard
are the proud parents of this gorgeous little boy, Colin Patrick.
Bob and I are somewhat amused, and extremely happy at becoming
Great Grandparents. We just feel too young, but of course
chronologically we're not!
Welcome to the big wide world Colin.
Meeting for the first time at the hospital. . . . . such a lovely feeling to hold
a newborn baby. It's been a very long time.
Dear Mary - Wonderful, big congratulations to Cassie and Richard, and to the proud Great Grandparents too - and it is true neither of you look old enough.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Mary and Bob and welcome to our world Colin Patrick!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous photo of the three of you!
I agree you're much too young to be a Great Grandmother!!!
love
Shane
Xoxoxoxoxo from Colin, Richard, and myself! :)
ReplyDeleteHuge congratulations on becoming Great grandparents! My mother used to say that you 'are as young as you feel', and I'm sure you neither look nor feel old enough to be great grandparents! Lovely photo.
ReplyDeleteWell now, you do look young to have attained this role of great-grandparents. Little Colin is going to infuse so much energy and life into the family. At least, that's what John has found with his batch of greats! Warm congrats all around...
ReplyDeleteThey are quite remarkable, as if seeing them for the first time. Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteI am so very excited for you. There is nothing better than holding a grandson in your arms, even a great one! He will just thrill you and give you more smiles than you can even imagine. Sending best wishes to this new little family.
ReplyDeleteAww...Welcome little Colin." He is a lovely baby; darling little lips. I agree with the other commenters, Mary. You and Bob look too young for your new title. :)
ReplyDeleteOh wow, congratulations, Mary! I can't believe you're a great-grandma. What a beautiful baby ~ and what a beautiful privilege in life to see your children and grandchildren having babies. Blessings to you all.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations. It must be so special to become a great grandparent. I remember only on of my great grandparents. She died when I was five but I still remember certain things about her - like how she still kept her hair long and tied it back in a bun every morning.
ReplyDeleteAww, what a precious little guy he is. Congratulations to all and I would agree that you and Bob look much too young for the great grandparent status.
ReplyDeleteThat's delightful. Lucky You...but I think there must be some mistake about the great Title. You can't be old enough!
ReplyDeleteYes, there is definitely something special about holding a new born. Congratulations, Mary and Bob! What a wonderful gift.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations are in order for such a fine looking great-grandson! I have a friend who became a great-grandma a year ago, and she is just besotted with him. I'm sure you will be with Colin also. He is a beautiful baby!
ReplyDeleteAw. Congratulations on this milestone in your life and family. A lovely name for a little boy too. Hugs.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful baby boy. It is amazing to think of you and Bob as Great Grandparents. Congratulations to you and to Cassie and Richard.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Mary and Bob. What a milestone! That's a wonderful photo of the three of you. I agree that there is nothing sweeter than holding a newborn baby.
ReplyDeleteMary and Bob, We are so happy for you at the birth of your first great-grandson. Enjoy him and love him and feel blessed. I knew one of my great-grandma's and I loved her so. She was wonderful, loving, and so kind. I was so sad when she died. I still to this day talk about her and the wonderful memories I have. So sorry about all you have been going through this week. So happy that it did not hit your house. The weather can be so crazy. Think of you so often, take care and sending you hugs
ReplyDeleteWell, I don't think you look at all close to being great grandparents! I'd say congrats, but, really, you had little to with it but still....enjoy! Well done to the family. What a lovely little boy. :)
