Sparrows arrive. . . . . . . .

I once had a sparrow alight upon my shoulder for a moment, while I was hoeing
in a village garden, and I felt that I was more distinguished by that circumstance
that I should have been by any epaulet I could have worn.
-----------David Henry Thoreau

Morning in the late November garden.
Sunshine . . . . . . . and eight sparrows swimming!

  1. Some of them look young, or is that just my impression? In any case, they are sweet little birds, and it must be nice having them in the garden, close enough to observe them.

  2. Your sparrow pictures are just wonderful. I love them. I must get my lens out and snap some of our birds.
