Tasty Tuesday - Simple salmon………………

Being a non-meat eater myself, and hubby is by default
when eating at home, we enjoy salmon and I'm always
looking for new ways to prepare it. Salmon is a quick
to fix, healthy to eat meal, and recently I rustled up
this version from Real Simple Magazine -
it's simple to prepare and cook, clean-up is easy, and
the meal was really tasty.

I'm joining Penny at the Comforts of Home for her
Tasty Tuesday party.

I used two red onions rather than one - any leftover
roasted onions are tasty to add to another dish.

Make sure you use REAL maple syrup, not flavored pancake syrup!

This was an easy meal, it turned out well with both
soft and crunchy bits of onion. The Brussels Sprouts
tasted really good roasted, turning brown and crispy.

Pop over to visit Penny's party HERE - she is a fabulous cook.
How do I know?  She has cooked for us when we've visited
Western North Carolina, and we loved every morsel!

  2. It looks just delicious (except for the brussel sprouts). My mother loved them and I just never acquired a like of them.
Maybe it is time to try again, but not sure. The red onions and salmon, oh yummmm! It makes such a pretty meal.

  3. Ooh. I'll be pinning this. We love salmon. My husband has always hated Brussels Sprouts, but recently I've been doing them differently and he'll eat them. These sound like something he'll eat, too. I think it was the mushy boiled ones his mother made that he didn't like. Roasting brings out a whole new character for sprouts.
    Thanks, Mary.

  4. Hi Mary,
First, thank you so much for linking with my Tasty Tuesday party. And thank you too for complimenting my cooking! I would love to cook for you and Bob again! Hope you head this way...

I love salmon and this sounds really good. I am not a Brussels sprout gal either, so I would replace them with another veggie. Love the ideal of the mustard and maple syrup!
