HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY......
..........yes, I know I'm English but I'm married
to an Irishman so have to celebrate when
March 17 rolls around each year as it will tomorrow.
I visited SuzAnna's Antiques last weekend............lots
of great green displayed in readiness for those
smart thifters and antiques lovers who want
to decorate for St. Patty's Day or any other day. Think
Spring green - it's just around the corner too!

There's a green hat tucked in there, but the old
leather boots grabbed my attention first.......perhaps
they came on tired and anxious feet across the pond all
those years back when so many Irish

The green damask linen tablecloth, old but never used,
and just waiting to adorn someone's dinner table, was
my favorite item.
Off to the parade downtown this morning - Irish Blessings to all.
Claudia - forgive me, just couldn't resist changing your party logo to green today!
Linking to Mockingbird Hill Cottage for our always fun
A Favorite Thing Saturday party. I just bet there will be
lots of glorious green being shared in honor of
St. Patrick and the Irish.
I always see this weekend as a marker of fresh spring growth, let the spring colours commence. Happy St Patricks Weekend Mary.
ReplyDeleteLots of pretty eye candy here !
ReplyDeleteOh, how I wish a pretty shop like that was around here! Love the color green. I didn't use to, but I have grown fond of it over the years. Happy St. Patrick's Day!
ReplyDeleteThis "green post" was so nice. Even changing the logo was clever.

Mary, I always enjoy a trip to SuzAnna's. Loving that damask cloth in the soft green.
ReplyDeleteHappy St. Pat's Day to both you and your Irishman...........Sarah
Your post was a feast for the eyes! I really love the "Count your blessings" sign. Enjoy the parade. Ours was last Sunday, it's always the Sunday before St. Patrick's Day. And do you know that we turn the Chicago River green? It's quite a sight! I'll be making the traditional corned beef and cabbage tomorrow...I can almost smell it already!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
That was a nice little poke around, Mary - thank you! I like that cloth too - I have a three-drawer dresser in the hall just full of tablecloths. It's a bit of an addiction!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a great little shop. I especially like the bird images. Have a great day. Tammy
ReplyDeleteSomeday I am going to make it that shop! So many fun things there. Happy St. Paddy's Day to you and Bob, Mary. I am part Irish....

Hi Mary, you live in one of my favorite states. I attended the Southern Bloggers' Conference in October and we spent some time at SuzAnna's! I loved it. Thanks for stopping by. xo

Dear Mary
ReplyDeleteThe "Top of the Morning" to you and your Irish bloke!!!
I'ts St Patrick's Day already here and I've been caught humming old Irish songs my darling father used to sing at the top of his voice!!!
I would love to have a poke around at SuzAnna's Antiques.
The damask tablecloth and the metal jug would have gone into my basket.
Love your comment on the shoes Mary. Have you read "Brooklyn" by Colm Tóibín, I love his writing.
May the luck of the Irish be with you always!!!
Shane ♥
Love all the green! My father's family arrived here from County Mayo in the mid-1800s and I like to take this day to remember them especially. Happy St. Patrick's day to you!
