Primping and packing . . . . . .

. . . . . . . and flying home.

It's that time again!

Raleigh Nail Salon - mani by My Lihn, pedi by Kim - my nail gals of many years.
My go to signature nail gel color - 'Queen Fierce' by Lechat Perfect Match
with their matching regular polish for toes.

For me, getting ready for a trip is the hardest part!
What to take usually depends on the weather expected, and in
the UKbeing an island, it can change in a heartbeat.
Easter there was "scorching hot" according to family and
friends. Now the forecast says most of the time we are
there it will be back to cool and perhaps wet days, with
what will feel to us - coming from the now really warm
southeast - really cold nights! Evening pub visits with fires
on the hearth, crunchy local fish 'n chips and good wine
 might help!
Yesterday was mani/pedi day for my 'perfect 20' and after my
hair cut/color appointment today, some re-packing may be in order.
A warmer coat, another sweater, ditch the sandals and pop wet weather
leather sneakers in the bag!

Getting it all together - one more 'sleep' tonight and then homeward bound.

Leaving the garden at this lovely time of year is hard though!

    1. Thanks Marilyn - taking a proper coat along with the rain jacket - think we might be quite cold!

  4. Have a safe journey and a great time back home, dear Mary! Yes, getting things together for what can be very varied weather is a bit of a challenge, but I always argue that if I should find myself without an appropriate outfit, it is the perfect excuse for buying something new!

    1. You know England well enough Meike - the weather is so changeable - but yes, there's always M&S for shopping!

  5. You will miss your beautiful garden, even for a few weeks! Packing is definitely the hardest part of travel, and despite our many long-haul trips to the other side of the globe, I put a lot of time into trying to get it right. Only to be defeated by the weather on arrival. Last minute hair and pedi is always on my agenda too. Weight limitations on airlines are becoming more difficult every year - one must pack carefully :) Happy travels Mary.

    1. Patricia, like me you've packed for huge trips enough to know how they never pan out quite perfectly. Right place but often wrong clothes, haha! I so despise suitcases and their ridiculous designs - if younger I would try to design the perfect one, well two actually, one for we women and one for our men. Bob is still searching!
      Thanks for the good wishes.
