WHY?

My dear cousin in England shared sad news last night.
Her sweet, brave, daughter has struggled with MS for many years.
Confined to a wheelchair, but always with a bright smile and a positive
attitude, she has now been diagnosed with breast cancer and will soon
be undergoing surgery followed by radiation treatment.

Please say a little prayer, or think a kind and positive
thought for Denise, and our family, and send it across the pond.
Thank you so much.

  1. Oh Mary, that is so sad. Sometimes life can be so hard. I will send good thoughts her way. I always remember this saying, "we are driven by random winds; tossed or thrown under wheels or lifted to a garden in the sun, and for no reason anyone can see." Sometimes I wonder if some people are angels unawares, chosen for trials because they are so special; they can handle these trials.

  2. Donna, thank you so much for sharing that saying, one I've never heard before. Also, your thoughts about angels in our midst is thought provoking too. We are told from such a young age that there are reasons for everything - but sometimes life just seems so unfair.

    Mary -

    1. Mary, the quote didn't sound right so I went to look it up. Here is the corrected version. "we are driven by random winds; tossed or crushed under passing wheels, or lifted to a garden in the sun, and for no reason that anyone can see." Sorry about that.

  3. Oh, what a tragedy. Some people are so lucky to have no trouble and turmoil on the way through life. And some are so lucky to have been born so strong that they manage all the hard times with resilience and hope.

  5. Dear Mary - I can never understand why some people are burdened with so much pressure and tragedy. How difficult and overwhelming it must be for your cousin, her whole family, and their friends, but especially for young Denise. I will hold her close in my thoughts.

  13. Dear Mary
I’m so sorry to hear about Denise, life can be so unfair.
MS on its own is debilitating enough without adding breast cancer for her poor body to cope with.
My prayers, positive healing thoughts, hugs and love are on their way and will hopefully help her in some small way💕
Warm hugs for you too dear Mary
    Love
    Shane 😘xxx
